On June 28, 2012, Mayor Lee Leffingwell proclaimed Akina Adderley Day in Austin, Texas! Akina was invited to City Hall for the official ceremony, during which she performed a song with a few Vintage Playboys and was presented with her proclamation by Sheryl Cole. Akina is humbled, honored, and so thankful for this recognition. Happy Akina Day to all!
